Helping good housing projects become reality.

Many housing projects have strong community support and
a clear need. Often the challenge is securing the right investment
structure and support to move them forward.

The Taranaki Regional Housing Fund works alongside project partners to help unlock housing opportunities that create lasting benefits for communities across the region.

Who we work with

We recognise that successful housing outcomes are often built through collaboration. The Fund is intended to work alongside a broad range of organisations and project partners, including:

  • Community housing providers

  • Social housing providers

  • Iwi and Māori organisations

  • Councils and council-controlled organisations

  • Developers and landowners

  • Not-for-profit organisations

  • Housing-focused partnerships and collectives

How we can help

The Fund's role is not to develop housing directly, but to help connect projects with the capital, expertise and partnerships needed to proceed. The Fund may support projects through a range of investment approaches, depending on project needs and the outcomes being sought. This may include:

  • Lending and development finance

  • Equity investment

  • Shared equity arrangements

  • Partnership investment structures

  • Alternative ownership and tenure models
